Kim Dick

Artist Statement

I am an interdisciplinary artist making work that expresses highly abstract to non-objective imagery or objects. I tend to set and test the limits of any given material in a way that questions its inherent parameters. The fragility or strength exposed in my work runs parallel to exploration of personal events whether current or through fragmented memories. The artwork is intuitive in nature and provides documentation based result.

About Kim Dick

Kimberly Dick has been a member of Art Bomb Studios in Greenville, SC, a non-profit working arts studio since 2008. As a practicing artist, she believes there is much value to continuing personal artistic development and exhibiting. She has exhibited extensively in GA, KY, NC, NY, SC, and Finland.

For around ten years, she was Gallery Director for Anderson University. Also an adjunct Professor she taught in the Foundations of Art program year, 3D art, Sculpture 1 & 2, and Studio Art for Non-Majors. She believes students learn best through process and discovery.
